hi my name is Justin Conway today going to talk about how to restore a toolbar in Microsoft Excel sometimes for some reason you accidentally click somewhere youll youre youll see your toolbar disappear or you wont see it it just wont be there anymore and there are ways to get it back so Ill walk through a couple of those first way is right now Im missing my formatting toolbar as you can see some of the options that are typically available on excel are not available Im going to go to the very top of the excel page here and just right click and go to toolbars and youll see the formatting is not checked if I click that it restores my toolbar you can right click and select through the variety of options here or click on customize toolbars toolbars to really be able to manage your toolbar settings and and what you have displayed the other thing sometimes when people say toolbars they mean the ribbons which are these going across here and the way to adjust those are to go into Exce

Navigate to the folder where the desired file was previously stored. Right-click and select Properties. From the box that pops up, select the Previous Versions tab. Locate and select the file you wish to recover and press Restore.
Click the File tab. If needed, scroll to the Version history section. Select an autosaved version of the file in the list of recovered files. If the version you need to recover isnt in the recent list, click the Manage Workbook button and select Recover Unsaved Workbooks to see if the version you need is saved there.
Use the Undo feature The best and simplest thing to do is to undo the process if you mistakenly saved over a Word document. You can restore the Word document to an earlier version by pressing Ctrl + Z. There is also an Undo button on the top-left corner of the Word window, which you can use to revert unwanted changes.
Select the cells with the Excel Style. Right-click the applied style in Home Cell Styles. Select Modify Format to change what you want.
The previous versions are not created as part of a restore point. In this case, the deleted or lost files are still existing on your hard drive, but you cannot use the Restore previous version option to get them back.
Restore Previous Versions (PC) In Windows, if you right-click on a file, and go to Properties, you will see an option titled Previous Versions. This option can help you revert to a version of your file before the overwrite occurred, allowing you to get your data back.
Navigate to the folder where the desired file was previously stored. Right-click and select Properties. From the box that pops up, select the Previous Versions tab. Locate and select the file you wish to recover and press Restore.
How to recover overwritten files on a Windows PC Open Windows Explorer and open the folder that contained the overwritten file. From anywhere within the folder, right-click and select Properties. Select the Previous Versions tab. Look at the list of versions, each with a date, and look for the version you want.
Go to the AutoRecover File Location field. Here, you will see the location of the autosave directory. By default, it is set to C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\. However, you can always change that to your preferred location by clicking the Browse button.
Recovering Deletions in Excel Right-click the Excel document and click Properties. Click the Previous Versions tab. Select a version of the Excel document that you think contains the deleted data. Click the Restore button to replace the existing Excel document with the older version.
