To change the shape of a comment, do the following: Make sure that it is visible (right-click the cell and select Show/Hide Comments). Click the comments border to select it as a Shape (or, Ctrl-click the comment to select it as a Shape).
For auto resizing comment boxes to fit their content in active sheet, please click Kutools More AutoFit Comment Active sheet.
Alt+H in Microsoft Excel In Microsoft Excel, pressing Alt + H opens the Home tab in the Ribbon. In the Home tab after pressing the shortcut, youll have the option to press an additional key to select an option in the Home tab.
Change a Comment Shape Right-click the cell which contains the comment. Click on the border of the comment, to select it. On the QAT, click the Change Shape command, and click on a shape to select it.
If you want to resize a comment box, move the mouse pointer to one of the sizing handles on the corners or sides until it turns into a plus sign with arrows. Then, click and drag one of the handles to resize the comment box to your preferred size.
If you want all comment boxes to be the same size, hold down the Shift key while you click on each box you want to resize. Then, click on one of the boxes and drag it to the desired size. All of the other selected boxes will change size ingly.
Change the column width to automatically fit the contents (auto fit) Select the column or columns that you want to change. On the Home tab, in the Cells group, click Format. Under Cell Size, click AutoFit Column Width.

Ctrl+Shift+R: This shortcut will open the Resize Comment dialog box. From here, you can change the size of the comment box. Simply select the cell that contains the comment you want to resize and then press the shortcut keys.
Select the text you want to reformat, right-click it, and then choose Format Comment. Choose the font options you want and click OK. In this example, weve changed the font style, size and color of the comment.
