In this video, the tutorial shows how to find and replace text in a Word document. By pressing ctrl + H, the find and replace feature pops up. You can also access it through the home tab. Type the word you want to find and another word to replace it with. You can either replace all instances at once or go through them one by one. Click on replace all to complete the replacements. Try it! Select Replace or press Ctrl + H. In the Find what box, type the text you want to search for. Select Find Next to see where the text appears in your file. In the Replace with box, type the text you want. Select Replace to change the text or select Replace All to change all instances of this text in your file.
Style sets allow you to format all elements in your document at once instead of modifying each element separately. From the Design tab, click the More drop-down arrow in the Document Formatting group. Choose the desired style set from the drop-down menu. The selected style set will be applied to your entire document.
Apply a text replacement to existing text: To use the text replacement in part of a document, select the text, choose Edit Substitutions Show Substitutions, make sure the Text Replacement checkbox is selected, then click Replace in Selection. To use the text replacement in the entire document, click Replace All.
Select specific text Click and hold while you drag your cursor to select the text you want.
Find and replace text Go to Home Replace. Enter the word or phrase you want to replace in Find what. Enter your new text in Replace with. Choose Replace All to change all occurrences of the word or phrase. To specify only upper or lowercase in your search, select More Match case.
