The Excel REPLACE function replaces characters specified by location in a given text string with another text string. For example =REPLACE(XYZ123,4,3,456) returns XYZ456.

Replace text or numbers with the Find Replace Press Ctrl+H or go to Home Find Select Replace. In Find what, type the text or numbers you want to find. You can further define your search: In the Replace with box, enter the text or numbers you want to use to replace the search text. Select Replace or Replace All.
The Find and Replace dialog is activated. Click on the split button called Format against Find what Select Format In the Find Format dialog go to the Fill tab and select the color to be replaced.
What is the REPLACE Function? The REPLACE Function[1] is categorized under Excel TEXT functions. The function will replace part of a text string, based on the number of characters you specify, with a different text string.
