This can be annoying and lead to unwanted distractions. To disable auto-play, go to Safari Preferences, click on the Websites tab, and select "Auto-Play" from the sidebar. Then, choose "Never Auto-Play" from the drop-down menu for all websites or select specific websites to disable auto-play. Number 4: Configure Safari's pop-up blocker. To configure it, go to Safari Preferences, click on the Websites tab, and scroll down to the Pop-up Windows section. Here, you can choose to block all pop-ups, allow pop-ups from specific websites, or customize the pop-up blocker settings to your liking. Number 5: Customize your Safari homepage. By default, Safari opens a new tab with a start page that displays your frequently visited websites, favorites, and Siri suggestions. However, you can customize this page to your liking. You can choose to open a blank page, your current page, or a specific URL as your homepage. Number 6: Enable Safari's Reader mode. Safari's Reader mode provides a simplified and distraction-free reading experience by removing ads, sidebars, and other clutter from web pages. You can also set Safari to automatically enter Reader mode for specific websites by going to Safari Preferences, clicking on the Websites tab, and selecting "Reader" from the sidebar. Number 7: Use Safari's built-in password manager. Safari's password manager securely stores and autofills your usernames and passwords for websites. To use it, go to Safari Preferences, click on the Passwords tab, and check the box that says "AutoFill user names and passwords." You can also manage your saved passwords and add exceptions for certain websites from this menu. Number 8: Enable content blockers. Content blockers are third-party extensions that can block ads, trackers, and other unwanted content from appearing on web pages. To enable them, go to Safari Preferences, click on the Extensions tab, and choose your preferred content blocker from the list.
