The OVERWRITE VALUES command allows you to modify specific values in categorical or numeric variables by replacing all rows in a dataset regardless of the applied exclusion filter. This command only allows you to overwrite using values that exist on the definition of the current variables.
To start, open the terminal and type the nano command followed by the file path (e.g., nano /path/to/filename ). If the file already exists, Nano will open it; if not, a new file will be created under the specified directory. Once you have the file open in Nano, you can easily modify the contents.

We can use the sed command to find and replace text strings in the file on the command line. The sed command allows us to search for occurrences of a text string and then replace the text string.
Find and replace text within a file using sed command Use Stream EDitor (sed) as follows: sed -i s/old-text/new-text/g input.txt. It tells sed to find all occurrences of old-text and replace with new-text in a file named input.txt. The s is the substitute command of sed for find and replace.
How to Overwrite Existing Files -f or --force : This option will force cp to overwrite any existing files in the destination, even if they cannot be opened or removed. -i or --interactive : This option will make cp prompt the user before overwriting any existing files in the destination.
The -f option allows you to overwrite any existing files with the same name as the file you are moving without being prompted. Use this option with caution, as it can result in data loss if used improperly.
