hi Im Pete and Im a lab manager at Charlies opticians in Limington Spa Im going to run through a selection of different repairs that may well present themselves in the practice patient has brought in a generic 2-pin rimless frame with the side thats now not attached and so were going to replace the side for them first of all need to clean whats left of any mounting plugs off the side which on here actually is mostly come off but need to remove anything from the side thats there now this is going to involve using cutters very close to a lens so something I found to use over the years is to put small amount of tape over the holes just using a reamer just open those up just a little bit this will avoid any troubles as we have to cut close to the lens so having inserted the pin through we need to just open the holes very very slightly on the plugs Ill take the tape away can they reinsert the side by using the pliers that will reattach the side to the frame shell just need a litt
