KW here and the big question that everybody has is tires how old is too old and Ive been in the tire business for about 40 years retired now but I have always told customers it all depends do I get rid of them at five years old do I throw them away well that all depends depends if theyve been out of the Sun in a warehouse 20 tires stacked on them no uh so the main thing is sun will kill tires sunlight will kill tires Im going to show you my spare on my 1990 Mitsubishi that was had a cover on it Ive never touched it Ive had it for 20 years never touched a spare I had to take it off I had a a flat so Im going to show you the spare that was on the back of this 1990 Mitsubishi the date is 19 1999 and uh the dot is 99 so its 19.99 so the tire is 23 years old looks like new but it had a a Mitsubishi tire cover on it then I put a Green Bay Packer cover over that for looks so its been sealed hard up for 22 years and youll see this tire is like new I wouldnt think twice Ive thrown it
