Deleting Word documents on a Mac Click on Finder in the top left of the screen. Open Documents. Select the document you wish to delete. Right-click on the document. Alternatively, hold Control and click. Click Move to Trash.
To delete a file, select it, then click Delete; click Show in Finder to view the file in the Finder.
If youre using Microsoft 365, just open your account and go to the Documents section. Find the document you want to delete. Right-click it and choose Delete.
Command + Delete is the fastest way to delete files. It sends the selected file to Trash. Option + Command + Delete. This shortcut deletes the file permanently and immediately, meaning that it is not sent to Trash but removed from Mac right away.
If you need to get rid of multiple files at once, the quickest method is to delete mass files on Mac. Open Finder. Select the files you want to delete in Finder by holding down the Command key and selecting each file. Drag the selected files to Trash.
