You should clear your Macs cache periodically to optimize its performance. Doing this deletes media files, such as images and text files that it gathers from sites you visit and applications that you run. With the finder window open, press shift + command + G. Or from the top menu bar, click Go, then click Go to Folder. Enter the following command into the search box: ~/Library/Caches. You can copy and paste this command from the description below. This will bring you to the folder that contains all your Macs cached files. Now select the folders by pressing command + A. Or from the top menu bar, click Edit, then click Select All. Now delete all the selected folders by pressing command + delete. Or from the top menu bar, click File, then click Move to Trash.

Another way to delete files on a Mac is to use Trash Bin. There are different ways to do it as well: Drag files one at a time to the Trash. Shift-click files that are next to each other in a folder to drag them all to the Trash.
For example, in the Finder, click the icon for a document, folder, app or disk. Select multiple items: Press and hold the Command key, then click the items (they dont need to be next to each other). Select multiple items that are adjacent: Click the first item, then press the Shift key and click the last item.
Delete one or more messages In the Messages app on your Mac, select a conversation. Select one or more messages (including text messages, photos, videos, files, web links, audio messages, or emoji) in the transcript, press Delete, then click Delete in the dialog.
To do this, open File Explorer and navigate to the folder containing the files you want to delete. Then, click on the first file, press and hold the Shift key, and then click on the last file. This will select all of the files in that folder. Finally, you can press the delete key or right click and select delete.
If you need to get rid of multiple files at once, the quickest method is to delete mass files on Mac. Open Finder. Select the files you want to delete in Finder by holding down the Command key and selecting each file. Drag the selected files to Trash.
On your Mac, drag the item to the Trash in the Dock or select the item, then press Command-Delete.
Find and delete files on your Mac On your Mac, choose Apple menu System Settings, then click General in the sidebar. Click Storage on the right. Go to a category on the right and click its Info button to open it: To delete a file, select it, then click Delete; click Show in Finder to view the file in the Finder.
Deleting Word documents on a Mac Click on Finder in the top left of the screen. Open Documents. Select the document you wish to delete. Right-click on the document. Alternatively, hold Control and click. Click Move to Trash.
