You should clear your Macs cache periodically to optimize its performance. Doing this deletes media files, such as images and text files that it gathers from sites you visit and applications that you run. With the finder window open, press shift + command + G. Or from the top menu bar, click Go, then click Go to Folder. Enter the following command into the search box: ~/Library/Caches. You can copy and paste this command from the description below. This will bring you to the folder that contains all your Macs cached files. Now select the folders by pressing command + A. Or from the top menu bar, click Edit, then click Select All. Now delete all the selected folders by pressing command + delete. Or from the top menu bar, click File, then click Move to Trash.
