If your Mac runs macOS Big Sur 11.0 or higher, you can use the Preview application to redact information from a PDF. Open the PDF, navigate to Tools, and click Redact. A warning will appear stating that redacted content is permanently removed. After clicking OK, double click and highlight the information you want to redact. Save the file, and upon reopening, the information will be permanently redacted.
