On your computer, open a document, spreadsheet, or presentation. On the comment you want to edit or delete, click More . Click Edit or Delete.
Add a password to Microsoft Office First, open the Office document you would like to protect. Click the File menu, select the Info tab, and then select the Protect Document button. Click Encrypt with Password. Enter your password then click OK.
On the Review tab, in the Protect group, click Protect Document, and then click Restrict Formatting and Editing. In the Restrict Formatting and Editing task pane, click Stop Protection.

When an Unprotect Document dialog pops up, type your password correctly and click OK. This will remove restrict editing from the Word document. Step 3: Press Ctrl + S to save the changes. As you can see, its very easy to stop editing restrictions as long as you have the password.
