This is Darrius from therabbitpad.com, and in this video, Im going to show you how to remove yourself from a document that has been shared with you. Lets say that someone had shared a document with you and you dont need that document anymore, and you wish not to have that document in your account. You can easily remove yourself from that file by following these steps. Go to the shared with me folder or wherever you saved that document in your drive. And right-click that file and go to the share options. And then you will need to click Advanced. Once you click advanced, you will see all of the people that on this document. So basically, I shared this file with another account with myself for the purposes of this example, and all you need to do is click the X on the right side of this area and you have removed yourself from that document. Be sure to save those changes and its going to warn you that if you change the sharing settings you be able to edit this file. And now the

Once you've removed the people who no longer need access to your document, they will disappear from the list of participants. You'll then click Save in order to confirm that change; if all parties have been removed, clicking Save will allow only you to edit or share this file.
