Some Google Drive users have suggested that creating a folder and adding the problematic files in it helped them in removing them. You need to create a folder, drag the files in it, and then delete the files individually or delete the entire folder. To create a folder, select the files that you want to move.
To get started, upload the document to your account, open it in the editor, and click PAGES on the left to open the navigation pane. To delete a page, select its thumbnail in the navigation pane and click the trash can icon above.
You may also remove multiple files simultaneously. Click the first file and click on other files to select them while holding down the Ctrl or Command key. Click the Remove button to remove all your selected files.
Heres how. Open Google Drive on iPhone or Android (they both use the same UI). By default, the files are filtered by name. Tap on the filter at the top and select Storage used. Find large files and long-press on them. Select Remove and move them to Bin. Tap on the hamburger menu and go to Trash.
How to permanently delete Google Drive files Go to drive.google.com. Locate the file you want to delete. Click the file to select it. Click the trash icon. Alternatively, click the three-dot icon beside the file. Once youve deleted files, click Trash in the left sidebar. Click a deleted file to select it.
When you remove a shared file that doesnt belong to any folder, the file is removed from your Google Drive view. Since you are not the owner of the file, its not actually deleted for everyone. The owner and the users who have access to the shared file can still use it normally.
Open your Google Drive account and check for the files in My Drive and Shared Drive. If the files are located in Shared Drive then they cannot be deleted. Else if the file is in My Drive then try using some other browse or clear cache and try again. How do I delete the files saved unintentionally on Google Drive?
