In this video tutorial, we learn how to use markup tools on PDFs by selecting the markup toolbar in the application. The sketch option allows us to draw or sketch objects and reshape them. We can change colors and fill shapes with different colors. The drawing tool lets us draw and keep the same shape on the screen. We can circle important text, underline key points, and use various drawing tools for PDF annotation.

After opening the PDF, click on the Comment icon on the left toolbar to enter the commenting mode. Now, click the highlighted area and then click the Trash bin icon to delete it. Alternatively, right-click the highlighted area and hit Delete.
This might be belated, but in Preview you can go to Tools, Show Inspector. Click on the pencil icon all the way on the right to show the Annotations pane. Command + A to select all. Delete.
