were in Microsoft Word 2016 Im going to show you how to either move a header to the left the right or the center and its pretty easy to do once you know where the right button is so lets go to the insert tab at the top but were just going to go ahead for example and use page numbers for our headers although you can choose a specific written header if you want well go ahead and choose top of page and well choose plane number so we can see by default the header has gone off to the left so what we can do is we can click the insert alignment tab and from here we can choose left center or right lets go ahead and choose right for example and click OK and now our header has moved off to the right I can also choose center and its now in the center when youre all done you can go ahead and click close header and footer and it will stick wherever you chose to align it
