Solution 2. Fix PDF Font Blurry on Mac with Preview The solution that most people use exists in Preferences within Preview. Then hit on the PDF tab in the pop-up window. Just untick the option for Viewing Documents, which is Smooth text and line art. In most cases, the problem should resolve.
Open PDFs and make notes with Preview. Select Tools. Select Annotate. Tap the text icon. Place your cursor on the PDF where you want to add new text. Type the text. Use the text icon to change the font, size, and style of the text.
In the Preview app on your Mac, open the PDF that you want to compress. Choose File Export. Click the Quartz Filter pop-up menu, then choose Reduce File Size.
Enhance scans Open a PDF file containing a scanned image in PDF Expert for Mac. Select the Scan OCR tab. Click Enhance Scan to enter a preview mode. Choose the color filter on the sidebar on the right. If needed, remove distortion and set the page size. Click the blue Enhance button in the right to apply changes.
How to Increase PDF Contrast on Mac Open the PDF using Preview. At the drop-down menu, choose Quartz Filter. Customize the files color by choosing the filter you would like to use. Once the customization is done, press Save to save the PDF with modified color.
