Add new text to a PDF using a PC. Open your file in the Acrobat PDF Editor. Select Fill Sign on the right side of the screen. Choose the Add Text tool, which looks like an upper-case A next to a lower-case b. Click anywhere in the PDF where youd like to add text and start typing.

Using any browser, open a PDF document (right-click Open with). Press CTRL+F or CMD+F, depending on your operating system. Alternatively, access the Find function in the menu bar. Type and navigate between search results using the arrows next to the search box.
However, if you want to edit the PDF file, go ahead and open it in Word. Word makes a copy of the PDF, converting it to a Word document and attempting to match layout of the original PDF. You always have the original PDF file, in case you dont want to keep the version that Word converts.
