In this video tutorial, Jason demonstrates how to delete files on a Chromebook when they are marked as read-only. He recommends going into the files section and selecting the desired file (in this case, images). By double-tapping on the image and then clicking on the trash can icon, you can delete the file. If the file still won't delete, he suggests downloading a file manager app from the Play Store. Once downloaded, open the file manager app and select the file you want to delete. Click on the three dots menu and choose delete to remove the file successfully.
