hi there welcome to MJ tube hope you are all doing well in this video I will show you how to reduce Excel file size without using any software yeah you dont need to use any software and you dont need to do any hard work bodies theres a built-in feature in Microsoft Excel so I have a one file excel file like 20.5 mb so file size is 20 point 5 mb so i am going to convert this file up to 70% yeah up to 70% or 60% whatever so first open the file okay got it now just you need to save this file I just save as so for this click on file here okay Ill click on save as then click on browse select your output location and change the file name like I am going to take testing one after this in save as type you have to change excel binary workbook so take this one okay now click on save okay done finally save now now lets check okay so these are previous file thirty point five MB and this is a new file which have converted the file size like two point three eight MB oh goodness look at that I

If you have worksheets with data that youre not usingand that dont contain any formulas youre usingdelete them from the spreadsheet. The more data points you have in your workbook, the larger your file size will be. Removing unused data will reduce your file size.

Actually, there are all sorts of reasons that the workbook size could have jumped. One is that youve added some additional objects to the workbook that were not there before, such as graphics objects. The sheet will always have 1048576 rows, so any rows you delete will be replaced by blank rows. These will reflect any whole column formatting that might be in play.
