To undo an action, press Ctrl + Z. To redo an undone action, press Ctrl + Y.
To undo/redo your actions, use the corresponding icons on the left side of the editor header or keyboard shortcuts: Undo use the Undo. icon to undo the last operation you performed. Redo use the Redo. icon to redo the last undone operation. You can also use the Ctrl+Z key combination for undoing or Ctrl+Y for redoing.
Simply press the F4 key on your keyboard and Excel will repeat your last action. This shortcut can be a real time-saver, especially if youre performing a task that requires a lot of repetition. So next time you find yourself doing the same thing over and over again in Excel, try using the F4 shortcut to save time.
To redo an undone action, press Ctrl + Y.
If the F4 key is already assigned to the RepeatLast command, then the problem might be with the worksheet itself. To fix this, try selecting a different cell or range of cells and then pressing F4. If that doesnt work, try selecting a different worksheet and then pressing F4.
In that case, tap the floating icon and Inputting+ shows up as a pop-up window. Undo and Redo: Tap the Undo or Redo arrows to find the text you had recently typed. Find and Replace: Inputting+ also has a built-in feature to find and replace certain words or phrases in the text you are currently editing.
To redo an action using a keyboard shortcut, press Ctrl+Y on Windows or Command+Y on Mac. Alternatively, on Windows, you can press the F4 key to redo an action.
To repeat a character in a cell, use the REPT function.
