Welcome back to our course on PowerPoint 2013. In this section, were going to look at couple of very important tools when youre working with PowerPoint 2013 and thats the Undo and Redo tools. Now Im sure that if youve used Windows software before, if youve used any components of Microsoft Office before, youll be familiar with Undo. There are a couple of specific things in relation to PowerPoint that I want to cover in this section, but briefly Undo is straightforward enough. Lets suppose that I select this Home Slide here and then I press the Delete key to delete the slide. Its gone. If I decide that thats a mistake, Ive accidentally deleted it, then I can undo it. Generally speaking the Undo button is one of the ones that people tend to have on the Quick Access Toolbar and Ive got an Undo button on the Quick Access Toolbar. Its this sort of curvy arrow here pointing up to the top left and it says Undo delete slide. In fact, itll say Undo whatever I did last. And very imp

To redo something youve undone, press Ctrl+Y or F4. (If F4 doesnt seem to work, you may need to press the F-Lock key or Fn Key, then F4). If you prefer to use the mouse, click Redo on the Quick Access toolbar.
To undo the last action, click on the Undo button in the PowerPoint Quick Access bar. You can keep clicking on this button repeatedly to undo the series of actions; however a more graceful way of undoing multiple actions is to use the dropdown next to the undo button.
If youve ever made a few mistakes in PowerPoint and tried to hit Undo several times, you may have hit a limit. But you can actually increase the number of undos that youre allowed to use, making it easier to fix mistakes. The default number of undos in PowerPoint is set to 20.
