Lets check this out. Here I am in Microsoft Word, and I want to add page numbers to this document. To insert page numbers, up on the top tabs, lets click on the insert option. Over on the right-hand side, lets click on page number and here we see several different options. We can insert a page number at the top of the page and here we can left align it, center align it, or right align it, and if I scroll down, we see a number of different options. On the Header Footer tab, in the Header Footer group, click Page Number, and from the displayed menu, select Format Page Numbers. In the Page Number Format: From the Number format list, select i, ii, iii.
To change the numbering format, go to Header Footer Page Number Format Page Numbers. Select the format you want, and then select OK. To change the numbering alignment, go to Header Footer Page Number Page Number. Choose the alignment you want and select OK.
