To repeat a character in a cell, use the REPT function.
Click the Undo button on the Quick Access Toolbar. Press Ctrl + Z.
To undo an action, press Ctrl + Z. To redo an undone action, press Ctrl + Y.
Simply press the F4 key on your keyboard and Excel will repeat your last action. This shortcut can be a real time-saver, especially if youre performing a task that requires a lot of repetition. To redo the most recent action that you undid, press CTRL+Y. To redo several actions, do one of the following: Press CTRL+Y repeatedly until the actions are redone. On the Quick Access Toolbar, click the arrow next to Redo , and then click the actions that you want to redo.
If the F4 key is already assigned to the RepeatLast command, then the problem might be with the worksheet itself. To fix this, try selecting a different cell or range of cells and then pressing F4. If that doesnt work, try selecting a different worksheet and then pressing F4.
Keyboard shortcut: You can also press Ctrl+D to fill the formula down a cell in a column, or Ctrl+R to fill the formula to the right in a row.
