If your Mac is running macOS Big Sur 11.0 or higher, you can use the Preview application to redact information from a PDF. To do this, open the PDF in Preview, go to Tools, and click on Redact. A warning will appear stating that redacted content is permanently removed, press OK. To redact information, simply double click and highlight over the content you want to hide. Save the file and upon reopening, the information will be permanently redacted.
