To run form field recognition in a PDF document, do as the following: Click Form Run Form Field Recognition. All the corresponding types of form fields will be automatically created and named with the text near the form fields. You can edit or delete the created form fields after right-clicking them.

For help you may press the F1 key while viewing a form. button in the upper right hand corner of the menu bar of the PDF form. After clicking this button the Fillable Fields within the form will be highlighted in a light blue color which will allow you to enter your information within these fields.
To extract fillable fields in a PDF, select a completed document as a template and click Extract in Bulk on the right pane. Define the fields with data you would like to extract. Click Add New Data Field in the upper right corner and draw a rectangle around the data youd like to extract.
If you cant type into a form field on a pdf, it may be due to a browsers default viewer for pdfs. Fillable forms require docHub or Acrobat Reader/Acrobat DC to fill them out online or on your computer. Many browsers use a different pdf viewer by default that doesnt support fillable form fields.
Field detection is automatic when a document is sent to the Authoring environment. This includes the process for creating a template, a web form, or during an individual sending event. If candidate fields are identified, a Place All Fields pop-up dialog is displayed at the top center of the authoring window.
Export file data In Acrobat, open the completed form file. From the All tools menu, select Prepare a form and then from the left panel that opens, select Export data. In the Export Form Data As dialog box, select the format (FDF, XFDF, XML, or TXT) in which you want to save the form data.
