On the Design tab, select Watermark. In the Insert Watermark dialog, select Text and either type your own watermark text or select one, like DRAFT, from the list. Then, customize the watermark by setting the font, layout, size, colors, and orientation. Select OK.
Double-click inside the page where you want to insert the custom watermark. Select Watermark in the Page Background group (see figure 2). Right-click your custom watermark in the drop-down menu, and then select Insert at Current Document Position from the shortcut menu.
The most common position of a watermark is in the bottom right corner. This way it doesnt take away the attention from your image. However, if you position your watermark in any of four corners, it makes it easier for thieves to crop it out. Watermarks are secure only if you use them properly.
If its a text watermark, youll have the WordArt Tools tab available, and if its a picture, youll see the Picture Tools tab when the watermark is selected. If its a text watermark, you can drag it to change its position on the page, but no other editing. If its a picture, right-click and choose Format Picture.
Best Practices for Using a Watermark Keep your watermark simple and monochromatic. Keep it as small as possible while being legible. Use a vertical watermark. Put your watermark on the edge of the photo. At the end of the day, the decision to watermark or not is up to you.
Insert a watermark on just one page Select where you want the watermark to be on the page. Select Design Watermark right-click the watermark you want, and select Insert at Current Document Position. The watermark appears as a text box.
Double-click near the top of the page to open the header area. Put your cursor over the watermark until you see a 4-way arrow. Select the watermark. Press the Delete key on your keyboard.
Add a layer - open the photo in Photoshop that youre adding a watermark to and select Layer. Add a new layer and call it Watermark. Write your text - using the Text tool, click the image and type the text for your watermark - usually your name, sometimes accompanied by the copyright symbol.
Method 3: Insert Different Watermarks on Specific Pages Firstly, insert watermarks into all pages of the document. Next put cursor at the start of page 2 and click Page layout. Then click Breaks and choose Continuous. Similarly, use the same step to insert a continuous break at the start of page 4.
You can overlay a copyright image to almost any image as a watermark. If you save your images in high-quality PNG format, you can easily create a copyright watermark in PNG format for repeated use on your copyrighted images. Once you create the watermark, you can overlay it on top of your images as a new layer.
