How to View All Annotations in a PDF on Mac Open the PDF document in Highlights. From the menu bar choose File Open. Click on the Show Notes button in the top right corner of the toolbar.
After opening the PDF, move your eyes to the top right of the three dots on the function button, click on it, and select Annotations to see the comments in the PDF logo. The difference with other viewing methods is that you need to move the mouse to the comments logo to see the full comments.
View the annotation options by navigating to Tools Annotate and select the option you would like to use. You can also show the markup toolbar at the top by selecting View Show Markup Toolbar. Highlight, underline, draw and add notes to the document. Once you are done, make sure to save.
The PDF is stored on your computer If the PDF youre annotating is saved on your computer (for example, in your Documents folder or on your Desktop), then youll need to open the original document to view your annotations in context.
