When you upload Office files to Google Drive, you can edit, comment, and collaborate directly on Office files when you use Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. All changes are auto-saved to the file in its original Office format. Learn how to use Office editing.
Editing is available in all supported languages for the Google Drive Android app, including those with right-to-left text. To begin editing a Google document, touch its name in your Drive and touch the place in your document where youd like to edit text.
Use the Google Docs App To edit it, tap the pencil icon at the bottom right. Use the menus at the top and bottom of the screen to edit the file. Tap the check mark at the top left to save.
To make a Google Drive file editable, follow these steps: Open the file in Google Drive. Click on the Share button in the upper-right corner. Enter the email addresses of the people you want to share the file with. Select Can edit from the drop-down menu next to each email address.
If you cant edit a file, a few things could be wrong: The file owner didnt give you permission to view the file. Youre signed in to a different Google Account. Someone else with edit access removed your permission to edit.
To edit a document: On your computer, open a document in Google Docs. To select a word, double-click it or use your cursor to select the text you want to change. Start editing. To undo or redo an action, at the top, click Undo. or Redo. .
