hi Im Skylar Im looking at a PDF right now on Google Docs and Id like to password protect it Im gonna show you what options I have in order to do this alright if I click file and prevent fewers from downloading this means that people can only see the file online as its displayed by Google Docs so that gets me a certain distance to password protecting a document but doesnt really encrypt it how could I do that well theres no way in Google Docs to do that and generally you have to use docHub if youre using a Mac however you can download it and encrypt it using preview so Ill click the download icon and save it to my desktop ok here I have it on my desktop and if I double click it it opens in preview if I go to a save or a file rather and duplicate and click Save Ill get this dialog box click encrypt and type in a password click Save and now you have a password-protected PDF upload that to Google Docs and now youve got a password-protected PDF on Google Docs thanks for w
