hello again and welcome back to our course on PowerPoint 2019 in this section were going to be focusing on adding graphics and some more visual elements into our slides and specifically in this module were going to be looking at working with shapes now to do this Im going to want to have a new blank slide so Im currently clicked on slide 3 and Im gonna jump up to my home ribbon Im gonna go to new slide and this time Im just going to select a blank to add one of those in so you can see here theres absolutely nothing on here theres no placeholders theres no text theres nothing but what I do have is that design template so I still have the blue background with that green rectangle tab at the top now sometimes when youre working with these templates particularly if youre adding graphics in if you start to add too many graphics it might clash a little bit or overlap with the design template now the one Im using here is fairly basic we dont really have too much on it other th

You can insert shapes in PowerPoint into slides. To insert shapes into a PowerPoint slide, click the Insert tab in the Ribbon. Then click the Shapes button in the Illustrations button group. A drop-down menu of all the various shapes you can insert then appears.
Here is how you do it: insert a new shape, resize it as required , right click on it and choose Convert To Shapes.
To fit an image into a shape in Google Slides, you can mask an image. On your computer, open a presentation. Click the image you want to mask. At the top, next to Crop , click the Down arrow . Click the shape you want. Your shape will mask your image. To adjust your shape, click and drag the colored handles.
Make a custom border for a picture Select the picture on the slide. On the Picture tab, select Picture Border. The menu gives you options for Color, Weight (line thickness), and line styleincluding solid and dashed lines. To remove a custom border, you can select No Outline.
Here is how you do it: insert a new shape, resize it as required , right click on it and choose Convert To Shapes. Read the dialogue which appears and click Ok. The icon may get converted to one or more shapes.
To insert a shape: Select the Insert tab, then click the Shapes command in the Illustrations group. A drop-down menu of shapes will appear. Select the desired shape. Click and drag in the desired location to add the shape to the slide.
Under SmartArt Tools, on the Design tab, in the Reset group, click Convert, and then click Convert to Shapes.
Place this rectangle behind your text box. Next, select your rectangle, and then select your text box (the order of selection is important.) With both items still selected, go to the Merge Shapes tool (under the Shape Format tab), and select Intersect. And thats pretty much it!
If you want to show your images in an appealing design, you can mask them to fit into a certain shape. On the Insert tab, click Pictures. Once the image appears on your slide, click it and select the Format picture tab. Click on the Crop option and go to Crop to shape. The selected shape will mask your image.
Change a shape in PowerPoint Click the shape that you want to change. To select multiple shapes, press and hold Ctrl while you click the shapes. Under Drawing Tools, on the Format tab, in the Insert Shapes group, click Edit Shape . Point to Change Shape, and then click the shape that you want.
