A patent print is whats left when you have liquid on your fingersink or blood, for exampleand touch a smooth surface. Its visible to the naked eye. Plastic prints are essentially impressions made when you touch something soft and malleable like wax or fresh paint.
Patent fingerprints, on the other hand, can be made by blood, grease, ink, or dirt. This type of fingerprint is easily visible to the human eye. Plastic fingerprints are three-dimensional impressions and can be made by pressing your fingers in fresh paint, wax, soap, or tar.
There are three different types of fingerprints: patent, plastic, or latent. Patent prints can be seen without chemicals or equipment. Fingers that are dirty from blood, paint, or ink leave patent prints. Sweat and oil can also leave patent prints on glass or metal surfaces.

Patents are published as part of the terms of granting the patent to the inventor. Subject to limited exceptions reflected in 37 CFR 1.71(d) (e) and 1.84(s) , the text and drawings of a patent are typically not subject to copyright restrictions.
The word patent means obvious or evident. Patent impressions are visible and usually need no enhancement. They are simply photographed and the item that they are deposited on is collected if necessary. The photograph and or object actually becomes the investigators lift.
If you already have a patent number, the easiest way to get a printable PDF of a patent is to use Google Patents. Search for the patent number with the appropriate country prefix (e.g. US12345678 for U.S. Patent #12,345,678). In the patent record, click the View PDF or Download PDF button.
The most common types of prints include latent and patent prints. Patent prints are impressions of prints usually transferred using some type of fluid or chemical, like blood or paint. Latent prints, on the other hand, are formed by the natural oils in ones skin and transferred by the friction of touch.
