This video tutorial demonstrates how to restrict editing, copying, and printing of a PDF file. To begin, open Windows Explorer and locate the document you want to protect. Right-click on the PDF and choose "Make Secure PDF" in the PDF writer. There are no controls to select, as editing, copying, and printing are automatically disabled. Click "Publish" to confirm the protection status, then click "OK." The protected document will appear in the folder with a .pdc extension. This file can only be opened with Locklizard Secure PDF Viewer. Printing is not allowed by default, so the print icon in the viewer is inactive. Other methods, like Ctrl+P, are also disabled.
At DocHub, your data security is our priority. We follow HIPAA, SOC2, GDPR, and other standards, so you can work on your documents with confidence.
