In this tutorial on how to protect a PDF file from copying and printing using DocHub, you need to first open the PDF file and go to the properties option. There, you can select the security option and set a password for editing and printing restrictions. You can also allow low or high resolution and insert/delete/rotate pages. How to prevent printing or editing a PDF form Open a PDF in docHub Pro, proceed to the File option on the top menu bar and select Properties in the list: Choose Password Security in the dropdown below: In the Permissions section, choose whether printing and editing is allowed.
Open a file in Acrobat and choose Tools Protect. Select whether you want to restrict editing with a password or encrypt the file with a certificate or password. Set password or security method as desired. Click OK and then click Save.
The Permissions setting controls restrictions that can be placed on the PDF file. To prevent printing of a PDF file, uncheck the Allow the document to be printed option. You must always enter a master password when security options are enabled or when a user password is set.
Keep the Download option disabled to prevent PDF from downloading. Enter print in the search bar on the Customized Panel and disable the Print button to restrict PDF printing.
