In this video tutorial, the process of stopping screenshots of PDF documents is explained. To begin, open Windows Explorer and locate the document you want to protect. Right-click on the PDF file and choose "Make Secure PDF." In the Environment Controls tab, ensure that "Disallow Screen Capture" is selected to prevent users from taking screenshots of your documents. If a screenshot is attempted, the viewer window will display a black image. This feature also prevents users from using remote screen sharing apps like GoToMeeting or TeamViewer to take screenshots remotely. Additionally, you can choose to add a screen mask image on top of your document to further prevent users from inputting text using other applications.
At DocHub, your data security is our priority. We follow HIPAA, SOC2, GDPR, and other standards, so you can work on your documents with confidence.
