This tutorial demonstrates how to disable PDF printing by using a PDF writer. To protect a document, right-click on the PDF file in Windows Explorer and choose "make secure PDF". In the PDF writer, go to the printing and viewing tab, and deselect the allowed printing checkbox. Click "publish" to confirm the protection status. The protected document will have a .pdc extension and can only be opened with Lock Lizard Secure PDF Viewer. With printing disabled, the print icon will be greyed out and keyboard shortcuts like CTRL+P will not work.
