Why do my PDFs save as Word documents?

One thing to try: Go to Start Control Panel Programs Default Programs Associate a file type or protocol with a program and then scroll down to the pdf file type. If it is not set to docHub Reader, click on it a the use the Change Program button to change it. Do the same for the pdfxml file type.

Why did all my PDF files change to Word?

Perhaps your PDF program has a check box or similar in its Options or Preferences dialog to make it the default viewer for PDF files. Otherwise: Right-click a PDF file in Windows Explorer. Select Open With Choose Default Program

Why are all PDF files showing as Word?

You need to reset your file association. How this is done depends on your operating system. On a Mac, right-click (or Ctrl-Click) on the file, select Get Info and then change the Open With setting and click on Change All. On Windows 7, click on the Start button and select Default Programs.

How do I restrict a PDF from converting to Word?

Check default program settings: Right-click on a PDF file on your computer and select Open With from the context menu. Choose Choose another app or Open With Choose default program. Make sure that Microsoft Word is not selected as the default program for opening PDFs.
