To change the font size in your footer: Edit the rule in Administration program. Go to the built-in signature editor to edit the footer. Choose one of the available font sizes. Switch to HTML source view. In the html template find the tags at the beginning of the formatted text (e.g. or ). Save the changes.
It is overlapping to your content because of its position. The only way to give them some space between the content and the footer is to remove that custom css and then add a bottom padding in the last section element. Right now, the bottom padding is 0 which is why it is close or overlapping to the footer.
To reduce the padding on the top of the footer, go to Appearance Customize CSS, delete all the informational text in that window, and paste in the following custom CSS. To reduce the space between posts, add the following. You can change the 0 to whatever padding you like, such as 10px or whatever.
