text() is the main function we can use to add text to a plot. We start by adding the string function with fontsize=12 to the location (10, 20). By default, the location is given in data coordinates. The coordinate system can be changed using the transform parameter.
You can use annotate to produce a text somewhere in the figure. The advantage compared to text is that you may (a) use an additional arrow to point to an object, and (b) that you may specify the coordinate system in terms of a simple string, instead of a transform.
text() function is used to add text inside the plot. The syntax adds text at an arbitrary location of the axes. It also supports mathematical expressions.
Sometimes it is useful for problem solvers to annotate plots. Text can be included on a plot to indicate a point of interest or highlight a specific feature of a plot. The code section below builds a simple line plot and applies three annotations (three arrows with text) on the plot.
How to put text outside Python plots? Create data points for x and y. Initialize the text position of x and y. To plot x and y, use plot() method with color=red. Use text() method to add text to figure. To display the figure, use show() method.
Steps Create x and y data points using numpy. Create a new figure or activate an existing figure using figure() method. Plot the scatter points with x and y data points. To add caption to the figure, use text() method. Adjust the padding between and around the subplots. To display the figure, use show() method.
Plot the bars using bar() method with x, population and width data. Iterate the bar patches and place text at the top of the bars using text() method. To display the figure, use show() method.
R text () Function text () Function in R Programming Language is used to draw text elements to plots in Base R. Parameters: x and y: numeric values specifying the coordinates of the text to plot. labels: the text to be written.
