A plain text file is a document that contains no formatting, images, colors or other types of markup. It also includes single line breaks and spacing. A rich text file is the default format of popular word-processors like Microsoft Word, Apple Pages and Notes, a Google Doc, and even HTML emails.
Send Plain Text Messages in Apple Mail From the Mail menu, select Preferences. Click Composing in the toolbar. From the Message Format dropdown list, select Plain Text. Close the Composing dialog box.
Go to your email notification settings for this email and make sure the box to Send Emails in Plain Text is not checked. Check for a plugin conflict.
