Explanation: Newspapers, magazines, and some books may use multi-column layouts. When the template is loaded into the editor, the columns are displayed on the canvas and the number of columns can be changed. Columns are automatically resized when the width and/or height of the text block is changed.
To distribute objects evenly: Hold the Shift (or Ctrl) key and click the objects you want to distribute. On the Format tab, click the Align command, then select Distribute Horizontally or Distribute Vertically.
Add columns to a text frame Using the Selection tool, select a frame, or using the Type tool, click inside the text frame or select text. Choose Object Text Frame Options. Specify the number of columns, the width of each column, and the spacing between each column (gutter) for the text frame.
