Inside the paper tray you will see the sticker like an image shown below. The lines on the corner of the symbol (surrounded by a red border in the image) show that this is the side that the photo will print onto, and therefore it should be face down.
If paper has print side (front or back), such as photo paper, load it with the whiter side (or glossy side) facing down.
Pinch the tabs on the photo tray edge guides and slide them outward. Load photo paper, printable side down, in the photo tray as shown. Note: Make sure the paper fits beneath the top edge of the guide. Slide the left edge guide to the edge of the paper.
Load photo paper, printable side down, against the edge guide as shown. Note: Make sure the paper is loaded against the edge guide and not sticking out from the end of the cassette. Slide the edge guides against the paper, but not too tight. Note: Make sure the paper fits beneath the top edges of the guide.
The printer prints on the side of the paper that is facing up. Load photo paper with the glossy side up.
Load photo paper into the photo paper tray Remove any paper from the paper trays. Load the short edge of the photo paper print side down into the photo tray. Adjust the paper guides so they rest on the edge of the photo paper.
Load one sheet of paper at a time, with the glossy side face up in the sheet feeder. Handle the paper only by the edges; dont touch the glossy surface. Follow the basic paper loading steps in your printer documentation.
No set standard makes a printer-specific to photos. You can, in theory, use almost any home printer to create black-and-white or color prints.
Load the short edge of the photo paper into the tray with the glossy or print side facing up. If the paper has a perforated tab, load the paper so the tab faces up or towards you to prevent printing on it.
