In this video tutorial, we demonstrate how to disable printing on a PDF document. First, open Windows Explorer and locate the document you want to protect. Right-click on the PDF and choose "Make Secure PDF" in the PDF writer. In the Printing and Viewing tab, ensure the allowed printing checkbox is deselected. Click "Publish" to confirm the protection status, which will now show a dot pdc extension. This is a protected PDF file that can only be opened with the Lock Lizard Secure PDF Viewer. Printing is disabled, as indicated by the greyed out print icon in the viewer. This effectively prevents printing using keyboard shortcuts or the print icon.
