all right so one of your homeworks deals with geo referencing images and so these are maps or images that maybe youve scanned in or maybe its an aerial photo that needs to be geo-referenced it needs to have that spatial reference information and so this is one way to do that using ArcGIS pro and so I just wanted to show you a couple of tips and tricks that have helped me in the past so here were looking at an old black-and-white aerial photo this is a shy rushlight in west central Illinois and so were going to go ahead and add the scanned in map that we want to georeference and so here weve got this scanned in JPEG and Im gonna add it okay and you see that that JPEG got added but we dont see it anywhere and I can right click and zoom to later and theres the map theres the map that we want to scan in but obviously its not where it needs to be it doesnt have spatial reference information and so its just being plotted at 0 0 and so if we zoom out since this is in UTM 0 0 is do
