The easiest and quickest way to create the index. txt file is using a spreadsheet program, such as Excel or Google Sheets. You can also create the file using Notepad, but it may take a bit more effort. Start by labeling the columns in your spreadsheet.
An index is an alphabetical listing of the topics or subjects in a document, and is typically located at the end of a document. An index is used primarily as a navigational tool, with the corresponding page number(s) for each topic listed alongside.
In Python, to read a file from the given index, you need to use mainly two methods tellg() and seek() of the File object.
Create the index Go to References Insert Index. In the Index dialog box, you can choose the format for text entries, page numbers, tabs, and leader characters.
An index file consists of a series of text lines, one for each data block or frame in the image. If the image consists of 1800 blocks, its index file contains 1800 text lines. Each text line describes the location of a data block in an SDF that is required to create the complete image.
Image File Specifications Each image file contains the portraits of students and staff. Each image has a unique name. The image file format is JPG, with a minimum dimensions of 640 x 800 pixels (0.8 aspect ratio) to print correctly at 300 DPI.
