How to Cut, Copy, and Paste in Word Select the text you want to copy. Click the Copy button on the Home tab. A copy of the selected text is placed in the Clipboard. Click where you want to paste the text. Click the Paste button.
The Paste Options button lets you select formatting options and is on by default. If you dont see the button, it might be turned off.Follow these steps to turn it on. Go to File Options Advanced. In the Cut, copy, and paste section, select Show Paste Options button when content is pasted. Select OK.
Select all of the text and images in the header or footer. Press Ctrl + C (Windows) or Command + C (Mac) to copy. Click on the worksheet tab for the sheet you want to paste the headers/footers into. Note: If you are copying headers, make sure you are on the first page of your document.

Select all the elements (text and graphics) in the header or footer. Press Ctrl+C. This copies the header or footer information to the Clipboard. Select the second document.
To insert text into a template: On the toolbar, click the Text button. A dialog box appears prompting you to type in the text. You can type text on multiple lines. Type the text and click OK. You can also insert a text object with the default string, simply click OK. Click to define the insertion point of the text.
Copy and paste means that you only have to set up a design (or particular elements of a design) once, instead of having to repeat the process for every label in your template.
Copy Styles Between Templates Click the Home tab. Open the Styles pane. Click the Manage Styles button. Click Import/Export. The same Organizer window that we used to copy macro modules opens, this time to the Styles tab. Select a style. Click the Copy button. Click Close.
Select the code or command from your application and copy it using the toolbar, the context menu, or the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+C on Windows or Command+C on Mac. Place your cursor in your Word document where you want to paste it. Then go to the Home tab, click the Paste drop-down arrow, and choose Paste Special.
