This is part one of a three-part training series on transcript annotation and curation. Part 1 will discuss transcript annotation. This is an outline of the entire series. As I said, in this first part I will cover why transcript curation matters, citing examples from the hearing loss clinical domain. Create a drop-down list Select the cells that you want to contain the lists. On the ribbon, click DATA Data Validation. In the dialog, set Allow to List. Click in Source, type the text or numbers (separated by commas, for a comma-delimited list) that you want in your drop-down list, and click OK.
Select the cell containing the drop-down list you want to copy. Press CTRL + c which is the short cut keys to copy a cell. Select the cell range you want to copy the drop-down list to. Right-click on the selected cell range and click on Paste or press CTRL + v to paste the copied cell to the selected cell range.
Right click on the page. select view page source. Hit ctrl+f from windows or command+f if you are on mac. search for the any of the option from drop down list. copy the whole block containing the drop down options and paste it on notepad or notepad++ or any other editor of your choice.
