well hello there my name is Tyler and Im with tober Academy and today were gonna learn about what click over here sorting numbers texts or dates oh wow thats good stuff okay so were in our Google sheet so Ive got dates Ive got words see that words words and then Ive got numbers okay so here we go so I want to tell you the first thing we need to do before we start sorting anything you know like ranking it either numerically or alphabetically is we have a problem so look up here you see Ive got my titles up here Im gonna click that up my titles up here thats great great and wonderful but the problem is the first time I saw it you know it spoiler alert its gonna throw that down here in the bottom you dont want that down there so I hit command Z ok so the first Im gonna do is I need to lock in this top row so to do that I go to view freeze and then I can choose one row and choose my columns all that I want to go one row so now its frozen so now if I scroll up or down no matt

Alphabetize or sort data in Numbers for iCloud Select a column, then click the down arrow on its border. Do any of the following: Sort the data in alphabetical order (A to Z) or by increasing numerical values: Choose Sort Ascending.
Tap the table, then tap the letter above the column with the data you want to sort by. at the bottom of the screen, then tap an option: Sort Ascending: Sorts the table rows in alphabetical order (A to Z) or by increasing numerical values based on the data in the selected column.
In the Sort dialog box, under Column, in the Sort by box, select the first column that you want to sort. Under Sort On, select the type of sort. Do one of the following: To sort by text, number, or date and time, select Values.
