This video tutorial provides instructions on how to disable printing for PDF documents. To do so, open Windows Explorer and locate the desired document. Right-click on the PDF and select "Make Secure PDF" in the PDF writer. In the printing and viewing tab, ensure that the "allowed printing" checkbox is deselected. Click "Publish" to confirm the changes. A protection status window will appear, confirming the success of the protection. The protected document will now have a .pdc extension and can only be opened with the Lock Lizard Secure PDF Viewer. Opening the document will load it in the Safeguard Secure Viewer, where the print icon in the top left corner is greyed out, meaning printing is disabled. Keyboard shortcuts, such as Ctrl + P, will also not work.
