Embed PDF in HTML Using the embed Tag. To embed external resources in a webpage, HTML provides an embed tag. Using the embed tag, we can include external resources such as PDFs, media players, and webpages. The tag has the src attribute, which allows us to specify the path to the file that will be embedded.
Here are some of the most common culprits to consider: Your laptop doesnt have a PDF reader installed. Your PDF reader or preferred program is out of date and needs an update. Your PDF application is potentially damaged or needs to be rebooted.
Another way is to simply drag and drop the PDF from your computer into Google Chrome while the browser is open. To open PDFs from a link online, simply click on the link and it should open in the same tab. Alternatively, you can also right-click and select to Open link in new tab.
The best way of inserting links is to go to Edit PDF and choose the links tool in the toolbar. Then select Add/Edit web or document link. Your pointer will change into a crosshair symbol. Move to the place in the document you want to add the link and draw a rectangle.
Corrupted PDF: Occasionally, when hyperlinks dont work in PDF, there is an issue with the PDF file itself. PDF files can become corrupted, which could affect the functionality of hyperlinks. Try opening the PDF in a different PDF reader or recreate the PDF to see if the issue persists.
An outdated or corrupted browser cache is a common reason for elements on a web page, including PDFs, to not display correctly. Clearing your browser cache should prompt your browser to download up to date content and hopefully fix the issue with rendering your PDFs properly.
Clear the browser cache (sometimes called temporary Internet files) to ensure that youre viewing a fresh version of the page. Be careful when selecting the options. Clear only the browser cache. If you clear all temporary Internet files, you could delete the cookies that contain login information and preferences.
Navigate to Settings Advanced Privacy and Security. Click Site Settings PDF Documents. Locate the toggle switch next to Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome. Turn the toggle on to have PDF files download, or turn it off to view files within your Chrome browser.
